What is krill oil?
Antarctic krill (Euphasia superba) is a small planktonic crustacean.
It is a multi-celled organism with the highest biomass in the world and is found in the cleanest and coldest waters of the Antarctic.
In the Southern ocean surrounding the Antarctic there are over a thousand million tonnes of krill.
Scientists have been trying for years to obtain oil from Antarctic krill and preserve its active ingredients, but they have only recently met with success.
After years of intensive research, scientists have now managed to extract oil from krill without losing its active ingredients.
The unique product CARDIOVASC® plus contains unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids bound to phospholipids, and the potent antioxidant astaxanthin, which supports the healthy functioning of the cardiovascular system.
Krill oil differs from other types of fish oil in that it contains three important substances vital for health: unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids and potent antioxidants.

Krill oil is considered to be an “ECOSAFE” product given that a 0,3 % catch rate of the total krill population does not threaten the existence of the species. Source: Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) |
Krill oil does not contain heavy metals (mercury, lead) or pesticides. Krill oil is completely safe and effective, with no undesirable side effects. |
